Children - Birth to 4th Grade
At Keller UMC we desire to share God's unconditional love at every age and stage of life. Celebrating God's love of children and tangibly helping them know God's unconditional love through our actions is a vital part of our ministry!
Sunday School (9:30 and 11am)
We are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and fun learning environment for children to experience the love of Jesus Christ. Curriculum incorporates Bible stories, hands on activities, a weekly video segment and games into a full faith experience for children. We use theologically sound materials and invite children to explore the Bible in fun, age-appropriate ways. Lessons are designed to give them a solid foundation and build a strong faith of loving, knowing, and serving God.
Children in grades three through six serve in traditional worship services by bringing light into the services, assisting with offering plates, helping the pastors, and extinguishing the candles at the end of the service.
Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts
Keller UMC partners with and hosts Cub Scout Pack 1910, Boy Scout Troop 1910 and Girls Troop 1920. Visit their websites to view the calendars and find out more information about camp outs, projects and other events the Scouts offer.
Building Blocks School
Two and three-day programs are offered for three and four year olds as well as a private four-day kindergarten. All classes meet in the Family Life Center. Building Blocks is well known for its caring Christian atmosphere and hands-on learning experience dedicated to the growth and development of the whole child. Learn More about Building Blocks.
Safe and fun care is provided to allow parents a worry-free worship service and small group time. Children will experience God’s love through our caring nursery staff. Our nursery is a place where each child receives loving care and attention from quality and consistent paid staff, as well as volunteers. Children from infants to toddlers are in age-appropriate rooms located on the second floor of the Family Life Center in Rooms 210, 211 and 212. The nursery is offered during all four worship services.
All teachers are required to submit to a thorough background check. In addition all teacher helpers must attend training.

ThiRD GRADE BIBLE PRESENTATION
Each Fall, we continue the Methodist tradition of presenting all third grade students with a Bible of their very own. The celebration begins in weekend worship and continues with a family style dinner. As their faith family, we’re excited to provide this age-appropriate Bible, and our prayer is that this gift will help them go deeper in their relationship with God.
Information will be sent to all households with third grade children in August. Children are also invited to participate in the 3rd and 4th grade Bible Camp at Glen Lake Camp in mid-September.
Trunk or Treat
This night of family fun includes a costume contest, trick or treating (out of car trunks), games, food, and more!
