Mosaic: Family Mission Week
Sunday, July 11, 2021, 12:00 AM - Thursday, July 15, 2021, 12:00 AM
This summer KUMC is hosting its first Family Mission Week, and we want you to be a part of it!
A team of leaders, across three different ministry areas, came together to create a five-day mission event for the whole family. Adults, youth, and children will all participate in various service projects throughout the Keller community as well as the greater Fort Worth area. Families with students in 6th grade and under will serve together on short-term projects during the day and return to the comfort of home at night. Youth in 7th through 12th grade will stay overnight at KUMC (Sunday-Thursday) for a similar but separate Mission Week experience. Adult volunteers are needed for the youth portion of the event.
What makes it a family mission week?
We're in this together! Our goal is to create a unified spirit of service during the week. Also, while families and youth will serve in different ways at different locations, we will celebrate and fellowship together at various times. This includes an opening worship service on Sunday evening and a water fun night on Thursday.
How can my family serve together if we have students in multiple grades?
Families with students in 6th grade and under will serve as a family unit on worksites. If all of your children are in 6th grade or under, the whole family can serve together!
Families with students in 7th grade and up can also spend the week together. Students will be divided into teams to serve alongside their peers on worksites. Each team of youth is led by two adult volunteers. While parents and guardians who volunteer for this role will not serve on teams with their children, they will experience evening meals, fellowship, and worship time with them.
If you have students across Kindergarten to 12th grade, our team of Mission Week coordinators is happy to discuss options with you!
