The Gospel of Mark Part 3
(Also offered at 10 AM on Wednesdays)
George M. Foster, Ph.D.,
fostak@verizon.net
Room 205
You are looking for Jesus of Nazarene, who
was crucified. He has been raised! He is not
here. Look, there is the place where they laid
him.
—Mark 16:6b
In Jerusalem, Jesus of Nazareth’s final week of
ministry moves from initial palm branch parade
toward inevitable Passover crucifixion. But on
Sunday morning, women who come to claim a corpse
find a message of resurrection triumph. Still
they were frightened, confused, and silent just
as we are sometimes frightened, confused and
silent about the triumph of the Lord’s way.
Participation in part 1 or 2 is not a
prerequisite.
The Five Love Languages
Susan Padgett
Room 206
People express and receive love in different
ways. Dr. Gary Chapman identifies those as the
five languages of love: Quality Time, Words of
Affirmation, Gifts, Acts of Service, and
Physical Touch. If you express your love in a
way your spouse doesn’t understand, he/she won’t
realize you’ve expressed your love at all. What
is your love language? Join us for a fun and
lively discussion as we discover the answer.
Each of us is a child of God and is gifted by
the Holy Spirit. Every person’s gifts are
important as a member of the Body of Christ. Do
you know what your "Spiritual Gifts" are? What
does the Bible tell us about spiritual gifts?
This study will help persons discover God’s will
and direction for their lives as they name,
claim, and apply their own spiritual gifts.
