Dr. Shelly Brooks was appointed as our senior
pastor effective January 1, 2007. Dr. Brooks is a
Fort Worth native and most recently served as District
Superintendent of the Brownwood District of the
Central Texas Conference. She was previously senior
pastor of First United Methodist Church of Alvarado.
Dr. Brooks received her Master of Divinity degree
from Perkins School of Theology at SMU.
Prior to answering the call to full-time
ministry, Dr. Brooks served as a family practice
physician, having earned her degree from the
University of North Texas Health Science Center. Dr.
Brooks also earned a Bachelor of Science degree from
Texas Wesleyan University.
Her passion is sharing the life-changing message
of God's love for all in Jesus Christ, and helping
others to experience the joy of the Christian life.
In her free time Dr. Brooks enjoys gardening,
English dressage horseback riding, and being outside
enjoying the beauty of God's creation.
